Update 4/28: Hello, all. Lately I have been focusing on my compositions for film. In the 'A Taste' area, I've posted the entire unobridged soundtrack for a short film titlted "One Day a Year" by Lance Youngberg. It's an interesting film about three men who visit the grave of a woman yearly. I don't have a digital copy of the film yet, but wil post an MPEG when it is available. The soundtrack is string-heavy with a good dose of Anericana. I wanted to balance that aspect of the score with some elements of dissonance, so drone chords and ambience rear themselves as well. I have also posted the second real song from the Tronik Dead EP 'Sol Tasto', which I hope Lance uses for the film as well. These are all 320 kbs MP3's, so if streamong is a little sluggish, just right-cllick and download. Enjoy!
UPDATE 1/12: Everybody check out my new blog: INFDL. It's a mess of subjects and issues that I care about (including music). Come on over and lets talk. Also, check back in the next few days for two new tunes. These tracks will all make it onto the Tronik Dead EP. I will also post a few ambient tunes and some acoustic shit in the near future. War, Sean
12/13: Playing an interesting show on Saturday the 18th of December at Ego's (once again) with Hello Amsterdam headlining. The project this time is called the Intergalactic Steamboat. It is a Salt Lake based dub collective in wich I play guitars and loops. Mateus is once again responsible for this particular pandemonium. It will feature an interesting setup. Laptops, horns, bass, drums, me... You name it. Expect lots of strange sounds and laid back beats. What you hear will be my first time hearing as well. I'll try to post some of the show on monday (21st). Be there, fukkers, or I shall tell Santa! War, Sean
mini Update: sorry, no files from the last ego's show, but more shows to come! (1/12)
UPDATE 11/10: Thanks to all who showed up at Ego's for my live "rollout". I have posted some files from the show, so check the taste page. Blue Alien and Tone Duef just killed as openers. Thanks to Matt Mateus and clan for the oppertunity. It is good to be playing again, it's been an entire year. That particular show featured me and the laptop with a few controllers. I will be integrating some live instruments soon as well, so keep your ears peeled. Also, i am in negotiations with some clubs around Salt Lake for what I am calling the monthly "Macro/Micro Elektro Show". It will be a venue to feature some of Slat Lake's finest up-and-coming elektro acts. The afore mentioned Blue Alien and Tone Duef will play as will Mike Flemming (my former musical compadre for the better part of five years) in what can only be described as musical mahem. We will feature a rotating line-up of locals who like raising hell with computers (and other things). The venues will likely change from month to month. More on that soon... War, Sean
Currently in the "a taste" area is a sampling of the show at Egos on 10/23. All three were mostly improvised on the fly and duct-taped together in real-time. Also featured is the title track from my upcoming EP Tronik Dead, a homage to the future, heh...
Be sure to check this news area often for up-to-date performance info and other bits.
